No one can say with certainty just what sort of career record Marion Miley might have set in women’s amateur golf had she been given the full run of her life.  In the short time she did have - only twenty-seven years – Marion made an impressive mark on her sports world.  From 1931 to 1940 Miley won twenty-two of forty-one major tournaments entered and held almost every significant amateur title.

In honor of Marion Miley, The Lexington Country Club began the Marion Miley Memorial Tournament in 1945, which continues to be played as a living tribute to Lexington Country Club’s most famous lady amateur golfer.  In this way The Lexington Country Club honors the fond memory of Marion Miley and her mother, Elsie Ego Miley, for their many contributions to the Club and for their wonderful friendship.
